  • The radiography program provides published information that list any additional cost that may be associated with the alternative learning option to all prospective students. This list can be easily accessed on the PRCC webpage
  • Students will have the same access to all library resources, testing center, faculty, and clinical sites.  Students will also have access to learning resources such as Canvas, Rad Review Easy, and Corectec to support our high standards of achievement and allow the students to effectively master and reach the program goals and student learning outcomes.
  • The program officials provide sufficient oversight of the evening and weekend track and are available to all students during their clinical assignments.  The Program Director will oversee and monitor the progression of the alternate route students and the program’s Clinical Coordinator will oversee and maintain the clinical components to assure equality in both the day and alternative route.  The PD and CC will communicate daily with the faculty instructing the classroom and laboratory assignments.  The alternative didactic faculty will be on present and on-campus for mentoring and program preparation during the hours of 1 pm-9 pm or 2-10 pm, Monday-Thursday. The clinical affiliates are staffed with Registered Technologist 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to maintain the appropriate and required 1:1 technologist to student ratio.
  • The alternative route is built to mirror the day radiography curriculum and each semester the students will be learning the same student learning objectives to maintain the consistency of the program goals congruently within the two curricular route options.  Each semester will build from knowledge, theories, and procedures that instructionally taught and tested in the classroom and laboratory setting.
  • Students on the evening and weekend track are provided with sufficient access to the same variety of procedures for competency achievement as the day route students. Alternative route students are provided clinical assignments in emergency departments to achieve trauma and orthopedic competency examinations, diagnostic departments for routine and fluoroscopic procedures, mobile rotations, and surgical suites for c-arm and fluoroscopy competencies.  All clinical experiences will be designed to assure students achieve high levels of radiological competencies. The program faculty will closely monitor the progression of the clinical competencies and ensure the students are prepared.
  • Each enrolled student in the Radiography Program- Day and Evening route will be assigned an advisor and will be advised semesterly by the Program Director to ensure students are correctly assigned to classes and clinical rotations. The PD completes a semesterly evaluation on each student to assure registration and required courses are discussed and understood.  The students are required to complete a advisement form and makes notes upon completion of this process to assure proper advisement and course registration has occurred. The Clinical Coordinator completes an evaluation on each student during the mid-term week to provide the student with crucial feedback on expectations for the remainder of the semester.

The radiologic program will combine all cohorts for the purpose of evaluating student learning outcomes. The Faculty, the Program Director, and the Administration review all student learning outcome charts annually to evaluate student progression and identify areas of improvement. The Program Director will annually evaluate all faculty on their teaching ability and class progression. The program will also have a program evaluation every three years conducted by the college administration with the assistance of the Program Director.
