Veteran Services

The Office of Veteran Services provides service to those who wish to utilize military-related education benefits at all locations of Pearl River Community College.  This webpage, and the information contained therein, should be used as a resource to help guide you.  We are eager to answer any additional questions you may have.  Feel free to email inquiries to va@prcc.edu. Our office is located in the Advisement Center on the 1st floor of Crosby Hall on the PRCC main campus in Poplarville, MS.

2024-2025 Academic year

To request the use of VA benefits for this school year, please complete the following: 

  1. Complete the Intake form (first-time VA benefit users only). You must be logged into RiverGuide to complete this form.
  2. Email a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility to va@prcc.edu. If using Chapter 31 (VR&E) benefits, provide contact information for your VR&E Counselor instead.
  3. Ensure you have been properly advised. You can set up an appointment here to meet with an advisor.
  4. Complete your Request for VA Certification. You must be logged into RiverGuide to complete this form. This form is required every semester you plan to use benefits. 
  5. Notify us of any changes to your enrollment during the semester. Changing your schedule may impact your funding.

Veterans Access, Choice, and Accountability Act of 2014 (“Choice Act”)

Pearl River Community College is in compliance with the Choice Act, allowing that, all student training under the Post 9/11 (Chapter 33) GI Bill® and MGIB – Active Duty, will not be charged in excess of the rate for Mississippi resident students.  For more information on the Choice Act:

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
