PRCC’s New Employee Orientation Sets the Stage for an Exciting Year Ahead

August 4, 2023

Pearl River Community College has welcomed several new employees in preparation for the 2023-24 academic year. New faculty and professional staff members participated in New Employee Orientation on Monday.

Dr. Adam Breerwood, President of Pearl River Community College, welcomed new employees to the Wildcat Family, and issued a challenge to undertake the pursuit of “Changing lives!”.

Participants were reminded to consider not only the academic needs, but the social, emotional, and moral needs of students as well.

Various Cabinet members and administrators offered introductions and overviews for departments throughout the institution.

All participants were invited to a luncheon in the West Dining Room where additional insight into various institutional resources and policies was shared. The orientation included training for learning management and student reporting systems. The day concluded with a word from Dr. Jennifer Seal, Vice President for Planning and Institutional Research, encouraging the newest members of the Wildcat Family to immerse themselves in the upcoming Professional Development Sessions, intended to galvanize faculty and professional staff in preparation for a new academic year.
