Reserved football tickets, all-sports pass on sale at PRCC

POPLARVILLE   Reserved season football tickets and all sports pass are now on sale at Pearl River Community College.
Tickets for all five home games, with seats in the chair back section on the 50 yard line, are $65 each. Season ticket holders will have first choice of seats and must renew by Aug. 1. Walk up individual tickets in the reserved section are $15 each.

The entire center section will be chair backs for reserved seating.

General admission tickets this season are $5 for students and $10 for adults.

The all sports pass will also be offered for 2013-14 for $100. This pass includes a reserved ticket for football, as well as entrance to any PRCC regular season sports event on campus.

The Pearl River Wildcats, who have won four MACJC state championships since 2003, will open their 2013 season with a home game against East Mississippi Community College in Dobie Holden Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 29.

The following week, on Thursday, Sept. 5, the Wildcats will host Mississippi Delta Community College. Both games will kick off at 7 p.m.

The first road game is Saturday, Sept. 14, at Jones County Junior College. Kickoff  is at 7 p.m.

Other home games include Southwest Community College on Thursday, Sept. 26, Gulf Coast Community College on Thursday, Oct. 3, and East Central Community College on Saturday, Oct. 19, for Homecoming.

Other road games include Coahoma Community College on Thursday, Sept. 19 (6:30 p.m.), in Clarksdale, Copiah-Lincoln Community College on Saturday, Oct. 12 (3 p.m.), in Wesson, and Hinds Community College on Thursday, Oct. 24 (7 p.m.), in Raymond.

The first round of the MACJC playoffs will begin Saturday, Nov. 2.

William Jones, 45, a native of Hot Springs, Ark. and assistant coach at PRCC from 2001-07, is the new head football coach at PRCC.

Jones comes to PRCC from East Mississippi Community College, where he has served as associate head coach and defensive coordinator. He helped guide East Mississippi to a five-year record of 44-10, including theschool’s first NJCAA national championship, two MACJC state championships and four MACJC North Division regular-season crowns.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
