PRCC students pledge to complete college

POPLARVILLE – Several hundred Pearl River Community College students have signed a pledge that could change their lives.The students pledged to complete their community college degrees or certificate programs. Statistics show that community college graduates can earn up to $200,000 more during their lifetimes than non-graduates earn.The Iota Mu chapter of Phi Theta Kappa honor society at PRCC is participating in the Community College Completion Corps, the student_led initiative to raise awareness of the importance of college completion, and sponsored the pledge signing event on Monday, Oct. 17.Tamekia Wilson, a Hinds Community College student and PTK international president, spoke to the students about the importance of completing their community college educations.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
