HATTIESBURG – The dental hygiene clinic at Pearl River Community College is now accepting appointments for the fall semester.The clinic offers exams, x-rays, cleaning, sealants, fluoride treatments and oral cancer screenings. Students perform the work under the supervision of instructors in the dental hygiene program.The students will be using new digital imaging equipment, computers and software provided through a $150,000 grant from the Asbury Foundation.The clinic will open on Thursday, Aug. 25. Appointments are available from 1 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 5 p.m. on Thursdays.The clinic is located on the north side of the Allied Health Center at the Forrest County Center in Hattiesburg.Cost is $25 for adults and $20 for children.
