Pearl River’s Jaime Missimer joins Mississippi Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators Executive Board

Pearl River Community College Assistant Director of Financial Aid Jaime Missimer was recently elected to a two-year term as Member-At-Large for the Mississippi Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (MASFAA.)

“To represent Pearl River Community College within this statewide organization is truly an honor and one I hope to continue for many years to come,” Missimer said.

The association is a financial aid community that encourages the exchange of ideas and professional expertise to effectively and ethically promote access to higher education by meeting the needs of our diverse constituents (students, parents, and institutions).

As Member-At-Large, Missimer will be responsible for maintaining the membership list, assist with on-site registration at all meetings, and chair the Electronic Services Committee.

Missimer received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola University in New Orleans. She continued her studies at Louisiana State University where she received a Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis 

Missimer has served as Assistant Director of Financial Aid since March 2018. Prior to that, she held the position of Program Specialist in the Office of Student Success from October 2014 until February 2018.  In total, she has over sixteen years of experience in various areas of higher education, including advising, career counseling, recruiting, and admissions.  

She has been an active member of MASFFA since 2018 and is honored to serve on the Executive Board.

“I am looking forward to contributing to the success of MASFAA and collaborating with members throughout the state,” Missimer said. “I genuinely value my network of fellow financial aid administrators and I hope to facilitate stronger connections among those of us who work in Mississippi.”

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
