Pearl River vs. Southwest hoops rescheduled for Sat.

POPLARVILLE The Pearl River versus Southwest Mississippi MACJC South Division women and men basketball games have been rescheduled for Saturday here in Shivers Gymnasium. The contests were originally set for Thursday, but icy road conditions prompted the postponement. Saturday action will get underway at 1 p.m. with the women game, followed by the men game at 3 p.m. Pearl River men sport a 16-2 overall and 6-1 division record, while its women are 6-9 and 3-4. Southwest Mississippi men are 3-11 and 2-5, while its women are 6-8 and 1-6. The two schools split in earlier match ups played Jan. 10 in Summit with PRCC Lady Wildcats falling to the Lady Bears 83-71, while the reigning state champ Wildcats ranked No. 11 in the latest NJCAA Division I men poll were 78-60 victors.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
