POPLARVILLE – Tickets remain available for the March 24 performance of the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra at Pearl River River Community College.
The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, in Smith Auditorium of the Brownstone Center on the PRCC campus.
Reserved orchestra level tickets are $20; reserved balcony seats are $15. Tickets can be purchased at www.brownpapertickets.com or by telephoning 601 403-1180.
The symphony, which performed for the grand opening of the Brownstone Center in 2013, will present a program of light classical music, marches, show tunes and a tribute to Marvin Hamlisch.
“This outstanding program will provide a wide variety suitable for all ages and musical tastes,” said Archie Rawls, director of the Brownstone Center.
The symphony is conducted by Crafton Beck who worked closely with Rawls to select the music for the concert.
“Our performance in Poplarville last season was one of the most remarkable experiences the Mississippi Symphony and I have had in a very long time,” he said. “We are looking forward to bringing what we think to be an equally powerful and entertaining program.”
