Clark named director of year

POPLARVILLE – Terri Clark, director of Adult Education Services at Pearl River Community College, was recently named director of the year for the southern region of the state of Mississippi.
Clark’s award was presented at the Adult Education State Conference, which was sponsored by the Mississippi Community College Board.
“It is an incredible honor to be recognized as Adult Education director of the year for the southern region,” said Clark.
“I am fortunate to work alongside the best adult education staff in the state. During the 2016-2017 academic year, our team assisted more than 1,100 adults in our district with improving their reading and math skills. More than 250 of these adults earned their high school equivalency with PRCC.”
Clark has been director of PRCC’s program since 2015. Prior to that time, she worked as adult education counselor at PRCC from 2009-15 and as a school counselor in the Forrest County School district from 2005-09.
“I am honored to serve with such a strong instructional team who truly wants to assist adults in reaching their academic goals,” said Clark. “I am excited about the upcoming semester and look forward to serving many more adults needing a high school equivalency diploma.”

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
