Wildcats to arrive Aug. 15 for preseason football drills

POPLARVILLE – Pearl River Community College kicks off its 2010 preseason football drills here Sunday, Aug. 15. Ninth-year head coach Tim Hatten said some 65 players will report. The Wildcat prospects see their first practice session Sunday night. Hatten and his staff will cut the number to a mandated 55-player roster before the 2010 season opener against Northwest Mississippi Thursday, Sept. 2. Hatten boasts a 67-16 overall record with the Wildcats. His teams have won four MACJC state titles (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006), as well as an NJCAA national championship in 2004.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
