Pamela Miller Munger was recently welcomed as the newest member of the Pearl River Community College Development Foundation Inc. Board of Directors She will be representing Forrest County.

The Development Foundation is a clearinghouse for all private funds to Pearl River Community College and is responsible for coordinating all fundraising endeavors and solicitation efforts, whether through written, personal, or telephone contact. The Board of Directors approves the use of unrestricted donations to fund priority goals on campus as recommended by the PRCC Administration.
“Our Board of Directors draws its strength from the remarkable individuals who serve—business leaders, educators, and dedicated community members spanning our six-county district,” shared Delana Harris, Executive Director of the Development Foundation/Alumni Association. “Their combined knowledge and leadership play an essential role in advancing the mission of both our Foundation and PRCC.
“These Board members, many of whom are alumni, share a heartfelt dedication to the future of PRCC. Through their support of scholarships and mentoring efforts, they show an unwavering commitment to the success of the next generation of Wildcats.”

Munger attended The River from 1999 – 2001 where she was a standout athlete, winning the 2000 MACCC singles championship. She continued her tennis career at the University of Southern Mississippi, where she earned a degree in Business Administration and Marketing.
Following graduation, Munger and her husband, Jon, built a successful career as Chick-fil-A franchise operators. They have since managed locations in Laurel, Starkville, and Hattiesburg. Munger remains actively involved in her community and is committed to supporting PRCC through her service on the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
Munger was inducted into the Pearl River Community College Athletics Hall of Fame in 2024, becoming the first tennis player to receive this honor.
How to Start a Scholarship Fund
Anyone interested in starting a scholarship fund can start the process through an online form at prcc.edu/alumni/scholarship. The scholarship can be named and have specific criteria for the eligibility of students for the award.
The Development Foundation also accepts donations to help fund programs and scholarships, including the Market and Station, which assists students with professional clothing and food needs.
