V3 College partners with Pearl River Community College

Pearl River Community College has signed an agreement with Mississippi University for Women that may allow more Pearl River graduates to earn a bachelor''s degree.By taking courses online through MUW''s V3 E-college, Pearl River graduates may be able to graduate from MUW in a shorter period of time than if they were taking courses on the campus of the W in Columbus.Dr. John Grant, Vice President for Instruction at Pearl River, said, “We are pleased to enter into this partnership with Mississippi University for Women. We think that with this agreement in place more of our graduates will be afforded the opportunity to complete a bachelor''s degree because many of them are simply unable to move away from their homes and their jobs to continue to pursue their educational goals.”We look forward to working with the W to make this happen.”The partnership also allows for future development of programs that will benefit both schools. For example, the schools can partner to offer unique courses and pool resources to help students.”The partnership between Pearl River Community College and V3 College offers a seamless transition of their education into a bachelor''s degree,” said Dr. Bill Mayfield, Dean of the School of Professional Studies at MUW and director of V3 College. “It''s a great recruitment tool – students can stay in their home communities and finish their bachelor''''s degree on their own schedules.”More information may be obtained from Mississippi University for Women at https://web2.muw.edu/index.php or at https://v3college.org/ or by contacting Dr. Mayfield.
