Summer masonry class offered in Poplarville

  POPLARVILLE – Pearl River Community College will offer a summer masonry course at the Career Education Building on the Poplarville campus.
  The class will meet from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, May 15, through Thursday, June 29. Cost is $150.
  Students who complete the course will earn a certificate in basic masonry which includes introduction to masonry, tools and equipment, safety, fire pit project and introduction to fireplace construction. They will also qualify for the application for basic lift truck operator OSHA certification.
  Reservations for the class require a completed application, clean drug screen at the student’s expense and receipt from the PRCC business office for full payment. Applications are available by calling Cheryl Frierson at 601 403-1113. The three documents must be submitted together to Shelia Smith at the Career Education Building.
  Students must be 18 years old before class begins and furnish their own steel toed boots and safety glasses.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
