String of Pearls bring home championship

 

 

pThe Pearl River Community College String of Pearls dance team recently was named national champion in the large ensemble category at the American Dance and Drill Team competition in Dallas and runner up in the jazz category. Dancers are, front row from left, Bridgette Patterson of Picayune, Meghan Varnado and Brooke Wactor, both of Carriere; Reanna Reese of Picayune, Brooke Loftin of Bay St. Louis; second row, Caitlyn Herrin of Carriere, Stevany Jackson of Hattiesburg, Betsy Seal, Melissa Dragon and Sandy Sheffield, all of Picayune; Taylor Turcotte of Waveland; third row, Lacey Hampton of Carriere; Carolyn Shaw of Necaise, Meghan Whitworth of Poplarville, Victoria Farmer of Picayune, Kelcey Whitfield of Carriere, Breanna Peters of Brandon, Carley Harrell of Poplarville, Liz Smith of Carriere, Darion Matthews of Richton and Alex Samford of Picayune. Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
