PRCC to host chamber Lunch and Learn

POPLARVILLE – Pearl River Community College will host the Poplarville Area Chamber of Commerce’s quarterly Lunch and Learn on Tuesday, June 2.
The luncheon and presentation about using mobile devices in business will be held at 11:30 a.m. in the West Dining Room of Olivia Bender Cafeteria.
Speaker will be Lara Bowman, instructor in the Mississippi State University Extension Service  Center for Technology Outreach.
Her presentation is entitled “mCommerce: Mobile Phones and Your Business.” She will discuss how mobile devices are changing the way customers physically find storefronts. The presentation will include information on how to control and post correct information about a business by registering with location-based services like Google, Yelp, Foursquare, and TripAdvisor.
Bowman will also discuss the importance of a mobile friendly web site and when, where and how to use QR codes and mobile apps.
