PRCC to honor veterans with Forrest County Center program

HATTIESBURG – Students, faculty and staff at Pearl River Community College Forrest County Center will pay tribute to veterans with a Veterans Day program at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10.Featured speaker will be Lt. Col. Joseph E. Worley Jr., chairman of the military science department at the University of Southern Mississippi.The program will include music by The Voices, PRCC elite vocal ensemble; students presentations and recognition of students, faculty and staff who are veterans or currently serving in the military. Howell Purvis of Purvis, a veteran of Vietnam, will be featured in the PRCC Alumni Veterans Spotlight.The program will be in the multipurpose room in Building 5 at the Forrest County Center and is open to the public.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
