PRCC students initiated into English honor society

HATTIESBURG – The Alpha Epsilon chapter of Sigma Kappa Delta held its first initiation ceremony Monday, Feb. 28, at the Forrest County Center of Pearl River Community College.The organization is an English honor society for students at two-year colleges. The chapter was formed in November with six charter members.They are Jaimi Thomas of Oak Grove, interim president; Lee Kinabrew of Hattiesburg, interim vice president; Casey Cuevas of Purvis, Dr. Terri Ruckel, Greg Underwood and Dr. Ryan Ruckel, PRCC instructors.New members inducted Monday are, seated from left, Sarah Landrigan of Sumrall, James Edward Hodges of Lumberton, Tamara Walker of Petal, Channa Nowell, Pamela Snyder, Channel Evans and Lennzee Lawrence, all of Hattiesburg;, Kristilyn Brooks and Jennifer Draughn Muir, both of Petal; Christopher Wilson of Hattiesburg; standing, Jaimi Thomas of Oak Grove, interim president; Lee Kinabrew of Hattiesburg, interim vice president; Laura Kay Delancey and Chelsea Boutwell, both of Petal; David Moore of Oak Grove, Elijah Corley of Hattiesburg, Christopher Pfalzgraf of Picayune, James Williamson of Hattiesburg Ashton Pace of Purvis, Michael Bass and Laurie Dement, both of Columbia; Kimberly Williams of Purvis and Dan Vega of Hattiesburg. Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
