PRCC students explore job market at Career Fair

POPLARVILLE – Pearl River Community College students got a one-stop opportunity to explore the job market Tuesday during the annual PRCC Career Fair.Approximately 60 businesses and governmental agencies sent representatives armed with pens, key chains and other give-aways to talk with students about their job skills.Between 900 and 1,000 students from both the Poplarville and Forrest County Center campus took advantage of the opportunity to network and submit resumes.It a good contact, said welding and fabrication student Renee Bounds of Lumberton after looking over the products made by C.L. Dews and Sons Foundry and Machinery Co. in Hattiesburg.The annual fair is sponsored by the PRCC Counseling Center.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
