PRCC Singers concert is April 21

  POPLARVILLE – The Pearl River Community College concert choir will present “Sunset to Sunrise” at a 7 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at the Brownstone Center in Poplarville.
  The PRCC Singers were one of four choirs chosen to sing earlier this month at the Mississippi Educators Association/Mississippi American Choral Directors Association state conference in Hattiesburg.
  The program will include “Sunset” by Eric Saari, “Evening Prayer” by Ola Gjeilo featuring PRCC music instructor Michael Bass on flugelhorn, “Stella Clara” by Richard Waters, “Sure on This Shining Night” by Morten Lauridsen, “All Night Long” by Lionel Richie featuring soloist Micah Eastridge of Carriere and percussionist Robert Perry of Petal, and “Light of a Clear Blue Morning” by Dolly Parton featuring soloist Lane Stewart of Gulfport.
  LaDona Tyson is PRCC’s director of choral music. The 61 members of the PRCC Singers were selected by audition. The choir is accompanied by PRCC music instructor Hope McKellip Bass.
  There is no admission charge for the concert.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
