PRCC lends hand to Louisiana flood victims

Pearl River Community College instructors Deanna Holifield, from left, Kira Arthurs and Robin Nix load flood relief items Friday, Aug. 19, that were donated by PRCC colleagues and students at the Hancock Center and the Poplarville campus for victims in Louisiana. Arthurs, who lived in Baton Rouge for six years, will deliver the supplies to shelters, friends in need and animal shelters.

Pearl River Community College driving instructor Daniel Smith and band director Dr. Kyle Hill drove the PRCC truck Wednesday, Aug. 17, to Baton Rouge to help the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office transport relief supplies to Louisiana for flood victims. The supplies were donated by the community.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
