PRCC Dental Hygiene program graduates 15

Pearl River Community College’s Dental Hygiene program pinned 15 graduates in a ceremony Thursday (April 27) at the Dr. Cecil Burt Special Events Room at the Forrest County Campus. 

The students included, from left: Front row – Destiny Dufrene of Biloxi, Marleigh Mangum of Magee, Camryn Martinez of Southaven, Raven Horton of Tupelo, Lizbeth Olivares of Laurel, Brice Smith of Hattiesburg, and Aalyha Way of Bogalusa, La. Back row – Kathleen Brown of Ocean Springs, Hadley Daniels of Hurley, Eloise Bonck of Wasilla, Ak., Erin Arender of Laurel, Lillian Pope of Carthage, Anna Grace Speir of Carriere, Mackenzie Griffis of Kokomo, and Krystal Chailland of Summit. 

Mangum was named the most outstanding dental hygiene student; Speir the Colgate Star student; Olivares the Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Honor Society award; Dufrene, the Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler student; Horton, the Dr. Stanley Hill – Make It Happen award; Martinez, the PRCC Patient Education student; Dufrene, the MDHA Achievement award; Way, the MDHA Scholarship recipient; PRCC Table Clinic awards include Dufrene, Horton and Brown; Speir, the Dr. Frank Turnage Attitude Award; Pope, Class president.  

Department Chairman is Dr. Shana Allen. Instructors are Abbie Johnson, Charity McCoy, Ellie Primeaux and Dr. Frank Turnage.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
