PRCC awards pins to 46 nursing graduates

POPLARVILLE – Pearl River Community College awarded pins to 46 graduates of the associate degree nursing program during a ceremony on Wednesday, May 11, at Olivia Bender Cafeteria on the Poplarville campus.Peggy Dease, director of nursing education, pinned each of the graduates. Dease is retiring after 34 years at PRCC, 18 as director.The associate degree nursing program is a two-year program that qualifies graduates to take the examination to become registered nurses.The graduates are Chelsey B. Lizana, Ashley A. Nguyen, Amanda M. Porter, Jerry S. Smith, Robin A. Smith, Katy L. Stockstill and Nicole A. Zulli, all of Picayune; Megan E. Burge, Theresa A. Pell, Melissa A. Tedesco and Heather M. Wilkerson, all of Carriere; Ashley M. Bourgeois, Marc B. Ginn and Kristen E. Glover, all of Purvis;Also, Jessica K. Garner, David C. McCance and Elizabeth A. Vines, all of Columbia; Sarah A. Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
