Pinebelt Works course starts next month

  Pearl River Community College will host a five-week manufacturing skills program in 2016 at the Lowery A. Woodall Advanced Technology Center in Hattiesburg.
  PRCC is offering the Pinebelt Works Basic Manufacturing Skills Certification Program in conjunction with the Area Development Partnership and the Southern Mississippi Planning and Development District.
  The programs leads students through the latest manufacturing techniques in Precision Measurement, Lean Manufacturing/5S and Statistical Process Control along with basic first aid, CPR and OSHA 10-hour certifications. Area employers interested in hiring graduates include Berry Plastics, Green Bay Converting, Hood Industries, Hybrid, Johnson Controls, Kohler Engines andWestern Container.
  The 80-hour program will be offered during the day and as a night class, beginning Jan. 11. The training is free to qualified applicants.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
