Pearl River’s New Wildcat Cubs Page Offers Fun Activities for Kids

June 4, 2025

Pearl River Community College alumni and supporters have a new set of resources to use with the young Wildcats in their home, classroom, or office the Wildcat Cubs page. Any Wildcat fan can download and print a variety of fun activity pages, all with a PRCC Wildcat theme.

On the site, visitors will find several coloring pages, a word search, a decoder page, a connect-the-dots page, a word jumble, a mad lib style story page, and a build-your-own Wildcat activity. New activities will be added on a regular basis.

Dr. Whitney Chambers, Director of Advisement at PRCC, shared several of the pages with her daughter, Macie.

“Macie loves all the pages,” said Chambers. “She especially loved the nurse coloring page as she wants to be a nurse or doctor when she grows up. She is also eager to use the Build-Your-Own Wildcat activity.”

The pages are a great tool to reach future students, according to PRCC Marketing and Recruitment Specialist Juliana Moore.

“I’m absolutely loving our new Wildcat Cubs page,” said Moore. “It’s such a wonderful resource for our communities, giving their children fun, engaging activities while introducing them to everything PRCC has to offer. I’m so excited to watch these Cubs grow up and become proud Wildcats!”

The resources are offered in concert with State Treasurer David McRae and highlight the Mississippi College and Career Savings Plan.

“Ask any child what they want to be when they grow up, and they’ll have an answer for you, albeit that answer may be a princess or pirate,” said McRae. “Nonetheless, I’m hopeful these activities will help put any dream your child has on paper. After all, by age nine, a child is already halfway to college.

“How will you help make those dreams come true for them? If that answer includes having your child attend Pearl River Community College, the Mississippi Treasury may be able to help you save for those dreams today.”

Two account options are available to help parents or other loved ones save for a child’s education. A MACS account can be opened with as little as $25 and is a tax-advantage savings account that can be used for a child’s education. MPACT accounts can be opened only by a parent or legal guardian, locking in tuition rates with contributions pre-paying a child’s college tuition.
