Pearl River’s sports marketing efforts have been recognized on the national level with four awards issued by Two-Year College Sports Information Directors of America (2YSIDA) in their annual Creative Contest. These recognitions showcase Pearl River’s ability to blend tradition with innovation, ensuring every moment becomes a memory for the student-athletes, fans, and the entire Wildcat Family.

Competing against two-year colleges across the country, Pearl River’s creativity and storytelling rose to the top highlighting the power of Wildcat pride nationally.
Pearl River’s excellence shone through on the national stage as Sports Information Director Dylan Dunaway captured three first-place awards in the categories of Social Media Graphics (Jacob Keys Gold Glove), Game Recaps (Men’s Soccer), and Creative Writing (2024 Hall of Fame Series).

Meanwhile, Richard Gleber’s diligent broadcast abilities placed fifth in the Game Broadcasts category for the Region 23 game against East Central Community College. Together, their work illustrates the heartbeat of Wildcat Nation, where every highlight, recap and broadcast connects the community to the pride and passion of Pearl River athletics.
“We are extremely proud of Dylan and Richard for being recognized on a national stage by the 2YSIDA Creative Contest,” said Athletic Director Michael Avalon. “Their creativity, dedication, and passion bring Pearl River Athletics to life; whether it’s through powerful storytelling, innovative graphics, or engaging broadcasts.
“Their work has elevated the way we share our student-athletes’ successes and strengthened the connection between Pearl River and our community.”
These awards are more than recognition; they’re a reflection of the Wildcat Way; proving once again that Wildcats set the standard both on and off the field.
