Learn maritime structural fitting at Hancock Center

  Pearl River Community College will offer a Maritime Structural Fitter course at the Hancock Center welding shop, 454 Highway 90 in Waveland.
  The course will meet from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 18, through Monday, July 20. Cost is $250 and will be collected the first day of class.
  The class offers an industry recognized maritime structural fitter certificate, including application for 10-hour OSHA certification and application for NCCER certification in the core curriculum, introduction to the maritime industry and Level 1 maritime structural fitter.
  Applicants must be 18 by the start date and must undergo a drug screening at their own expense. Screening will be arranged during the first week of class.
  Students must provide their own steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, cap, welding gloves, welding shield and long-sleeved shirt.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
