High school students compete in Skills USA

  POPLARVILLE – Hundreds of high school students competed Thursday, Feb. 11, in Skills USA Region 5 competition at Pearl River Community College.
Winners will go on to state competition March 1 and 2 in Jackson.
  Results are as follows:
  Architectural drafting – Noah Bell, Pascagoula College and Career Technical Institute, first; Tyler Norman, Harrison County Career Technical Center, second; Michael Blackwell, Hancock County Vo-Tech Center, third.
  Automotive service technology – Chelsey Burge, Lamar County Career Technical Education Center, first; Robert Pilgrim, Harrison County CTC, second; Keeth Prince, Gulfport High Technical Center, third.
  Cabinetmaking – William McKay, Ocean Springs Career Technical Education Center, first; Roy Landry, Jackson County Technology Center, second; Kevin Snawder, Harrison County CTC, third.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
