Pearl River Community College soccer captain Luke Hicks of Leakesville received the inaugural Dr. Adam Breerwood Team MVP Award during a presentation on Aug. 25. With Hicks are, from left, assistant coach Carl Reynolds, coach Paul Martin, his parents, Michelle and Scott Hicks; Mellie Snyder, grandparents Fran and Ron Pierce and Alma Dean Hicks, all of Leakesville; and Breerwood. Now PRCC vice president for the Poplarville campus and Hancock center, Breerwood was the college’s first soccer coach.
