Pearl River Community College’s Hancock County Alumni Chapter held its annual scholarship awards banquet July 14. Those receiving scholarships for the 2016-17 school year include, front row from left, Mark Johnson, Brittney Lafontaine and Alleigh Breckley, all of Bay High; and West Zimmerman of St. Stanislaus; second row, chapter officer Frank Ladner, Justin Ladner and Stanton Ladner, both of Hancock High; Korey Cuevas and Dylan Corr, both of Bay High; and chapter officer J. Larry Ladner. Funds for the scholarships are raised annually in May with the Hancock County Alumni Chapter’s golf tournament. This year’s event raised some $13,000.
