Forrest County Campus hosts 2023 Government Officials Breakfast

The annual Legislative Government Officials breakfast at Pearl River Community College’s Forrest County Campus Monday morning gave legislators and city and county officials an opportunity to provide updates on various projects and such from their areas, as well as meet and greet PRCC students and faculty.

PRCC President Adam Breerwood and Dr. Jana Causey, Vice President for PRCC’s Forrest County Campus, Allied Health and Nursing programs, spoke to the college’s growth and future plans.

Claire Thornton, Associate Degree nursing student, and Carlo Catlett, Coding Technology student and member of the Dr. William Lewis Honors Institute, spoke about what PRCC has meant to them.

Ameze Akunwe, a Middle College student and member of the Honors Institute, led the Pledge of Allegiance. Kathryn Scharwath, also a Middle College student and member of the Honors Institute, gave the Invocation.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
