Horatio Alger National Career & Technical Scholarship Program

Pinebelt Foundation Scholarhips

The Pinebelt Foundation has several scholarships available to PRCC students.

Marion County School District Educational Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship is for students from East Marion and West Marion students attending PRCC. Recipients must have a 2.0 GPA. 

Ralph H. Stallcup Memorial Scholarship Fund  

The Ralph H. Stallcup Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by Barbara Stallcup in honor of her late husband, Ralph H. Stallcup to provide scholarships for non-traditional students who are pursuing a degree at Pearl River Community College (PRCC) and Jones County Junior College (JCJC). Students must be age 25 or above and show financial need. 

The Mystic Krewe of the Seahorse (MKOTSH) is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a PRCC student who is pursuing education in a hospitality related field.

Deadline: February 23, 2024

2023-24 Scholarship Criteria:

  • Must be a resident of Hancock County
  • Must be a graduating high school senior or currently enrolled PRCC student
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Must be economically disadvantaged (as determined by the school)
  • Pursuing a hospitality related program of study
  • Be actively involved in school and community activities

Project Impact MS 2024 Scholarships

Applicants must be enrolled or admitted in a 500-hour minimum, entry-level massage therapy program at the time the scholarship application is submitted.

The Lariat STEM Scholarship is for students aged 18 to 24 who are pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, and math. The scholarship is for $6,000 as a freshman or sophomore.

The application opens on January 1 and the application deadline is June 15.

Eligibility requirements:

  • From a small town (fewer than 25,000 people)
  • Family household income of $55,000 or less
  • Strong performance in math and science

BrandSource Scholarship

In collaboration with Together We Rise, the Brandsource Scholarship provides access to academic and workforce opportunities for America’s current and former foster youth. To accomplish this, scholarship recipients receive up to 5,500 annually for up to two years in an effort to alleviate the financial burdens associated with securing a trade certification, licensure and/or vocational degree. To ensure their long-term success, recipients have an opportunity to receive access to peronsal mentorship and career development services.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
