Job Description or Overview:  To assist in the care of preschool children as directed.

Responsibilities & Performance Required:

  • Assist in the development of the curriculum
  • Assist in the planning and development of a safe and healthy environment
  • Plan and implement methods of establishing a positive rapport with parents
  • Responsible for the arrangement, appearance, décor, and learning environment of the classroom

Location: Poplarville Campus

Job Overview:
The Fine Arts and Communications Department is seeking to hire a full-time faculty member at the Poplarville campus. The position requires some nights and weekend responsibilities. 

Interested applicants must have experience in directing and instructing woodwind instrumentalists, assisting with marching and concert band performances, and teaching applied woodwind lessons and music-related courses. Experience working with colorguard is preferred. Individuals must have a thorough understanding of the use of technology as a supplemental instructional tool, express an aspiration toward life-long learning, and have an awareness of working as a member of a departmental team.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the Director of Bands with rehearsals, performances, and program administration
  • Providing specialized instruction for woodwind players in both individual and ensemble settings
  • Teaching music-related courses as assigned
  • Recruiting and mentoring students for the college band and Fine Arts programs
  • Assisting with marching band coordination, including field show design, logistics, and colorguard. 
  • Participating in college committees, student advising, and community engagement efforts related to the band program

Job Description: The Welding Technology instructor will prepare individuals for entry level employment in the field of welding and cutting. Instructor will be responsible for teaching Shielded Metal Arc, Gas Metal Arc, Flux Cored Arc, Pipe Welding, Plasma Arc Cutting, Carbon Arc Cutting & Gouging, Oxyfuel Cutting, Gas Metal Arc Aluminum Welding, and Gas Tungsten Welding. Duties will include but are not limited to: instructor of lecture and lab classes, membership on college committees, sponsorship of student organizations, and advisement of students.

Educational Requirements: An associate’s degree in relevant field and/or work-related experience; Industry Certifications preferred: ASW Structural Welding or NCCER core, Level 1, and 2

Job Description/Overview:  The Surgical Technology Program is seeking to hire a full-time instructor.   Responsibilities may include didactic and laboratory instruction in addition to clinical supervision, instruction and direction and guidance of clinical students.   Instructor will be responsible for clinical communication and documentation as required by ARC/STSA standards.

Status:  Part Time (Adjunct)

Educational Requirements/Work Experience: 

Faculty with instructional responsibilities in core surgical technology courses must:

1) Be a graduate of an education program in surgical technology accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency.

2) Possess a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA).

  • Current CST or CSFA certification is the only certification meeting the requirements

3) Have a minimum total of two years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years.

Recommended level of education for the Core Instructor is a baccalaureate degree or higher. Minimum of AAS Degree is preferred, but ST Certificate will be considered with plan to complete an AAS Degree.

Qualifications:  Faculty/instructional staff must be effective in teaching and knowledgeable in subject matter as documented by appropriate professional credential(s)/certification(s), education, and experience in the designated content area.
