Overview: The Academic Advisor will promote student success by providing academic guidance to students on their path to degree completion. Overview: The Office of Marketing and Recruitment is seeking a Recruitment and Marketing Specialist. This position will work to source and attract prospective students, assist with college-wide recruitment efforts, produce video, photo, graphics, and social media content, as well as work on college-wide marketing efforts. This candidate will facilitate relationships with all prospective students, district high schools, and community members and pridefully represent PRCC while participating in various events and via several communication venues. This candidate will work 3 days a week at the Forrest County Campus and travel 2 days a week to Poplarville/Hancock.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, create, and implement content and marketing strategies.
  • Establish a positive working relationship with all prospective students and influencers.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of all on and off-campus events.
  • Responsible for the creation & dissemination of Recruitment/Marketing materials.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including night and weekend activities.
  • Able to travel freely to all in-district high schools and career centers (valid driver’s license required).
  • Knowledgeable of college policies and procedures to best assist prospective students.
  • Stay informed of changes and updates made to any area in regards to the onboarding process such as admissions requirements, scholarships/financial aid, student services, ROAR new student orientation, as well as all academic, career/technical, and workforce programs.
