CNA course offered in Jefferson Davis County

  POPLARVILLE – Pearl River Community College will offer a certified nursing assistant course at the Jefferson Davis County Career and Technical Center during the fall semester.
  The class will meet from 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning Aug. 15 and ending Nov. 2.
  Only 12 students will be accepted. Students must be 18 before Aug. 15 and provide their own maroon uniforms.
  Cost for the course is $275 and includes a workbook and fee for the state licensing examination.
  Applications for the course can be obtained by calling Cheryl Frierson at 601 403-1113. Before the start of class, students must turn in the application, a clean drug screen, background check, one-step TB skin test result and payment by cash or money order. The background check must be obtained from a medical or state facility and must include fingerprinting with a clearance letter.
  Students must go to the PRCC business office in Poplarville to pay the tuition and get a receipt. The application and other documents must be submitted to Frierson on the Poplarville campus.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
