Allied Health Pinnings 2025-2026 Academic Year

Pearl River Community College proudly honors the graduates of our Allied Health programs for the 2025 – 2026 School year.

Below are images capturing these special pinning ceremonies, where students were recognized for their hard work and dedication.

PRCC Surgical Technology Program December 2025

Graduates of the Surgical Technology program at Pearl River Community College’s Forrest County Campus received their diplomas and pins during a ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 4 at the Forrest County Campus in Hattiesburg. 

They are from left: Seated – Janasia Aaron of Columbia, Kendria Bridges of Jayess, Akeysia Johnson of Jayess, Kenyatta Trotter of Columbia, Kyndall Cooper-Fantroy of Hattiesburg and Shelby Holifield of Laurel. Department Chair and Program Director is Tammy Allhoff, who has retired after 30 years in the department at PRCC. Instructors are Monika Phillips, Deidre Brumfield and Leah Backstrom, who will replace Allhoff as Program Director in January. 

PRCC Respiratory Care Program December 2025

Graduates of the Respiratory Care program at Pearl River Community College’s Forrest County Campus received their diplomas and pins during a ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 4 at the Forrest County Campus in Hattiesburg.

Sigman was selected as outstanding student. Zoe Smith received the Student Choice Award. Preceptors of the Year were Elijah Barela and Jennifer Watts. Most Welcoming Clinical Facility was the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Dental Hygiene Program April 2026

Pearl River Community College’s Dental Hygiene program pinned 15 graduates in a ceremony Thursday (April 30) at the Dr. Cecil Burt Special Events Room at the Forrest County Campus.

Smith was named the most outstanding dental hygiene student; Fayard   the Colgate Star student; Lindsey the Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Honor Society award; Adams the Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler student; Gonzalez the Dr. Stanley Hill – Make it Happen Award, Patterson the PRCC Patient Education student; Burris the Dr. Frank Turnage Attitude Award; PRCC Table Clinic awards include Fayard, Lindsey and Tangman. Fayard was class president.

Radiologic Technologist Pinning May 2026

Thirty-two graduates of the Medical Radiologic Technology program at Pearl River Community College’s Forrest County Campus received pins May 4 at the Ethel Holden Brownstone Center for the Arts at Pearl River Community College. The ceremony celebrated the students’ completion of the two-year program.

Craft and Sullivan both spoke on behalf of their cohorts before the graduating students presented awards to clinical facilities. Andrew Hutchins, Clinical Coordinator-Instructor Evening Program, and Jessica Lumpkin, Clinical Coordinator-Instructor Day Program, were recognized by the students as Outstanding Clinic Coordinators. 

Each faculty member shared a few remarks to the graduates before presenting student awards.

Occupational Therapy Assistant Program May 2026

Nineteen students received pins Wednesday, May 6, signifying completion of the Pearl River Community College Occupational Therapy Assistant program at the Forrest County Campus. 

The pinning ceremony was held at PRCC’s Lowery A. Woodall Advanced Technology Center.

OTA special award winners included: Burkett, the Clinical Award of Excellence; Ladner, the MSOTA Outstanding Leadership Award, the OTA Scholastic Achievement Award and OTA President’s List Award; and Byrd, Conway, Craft, Davis, Dye, Lee, Necaise, Pigott, Scott, Sivley, Williams and Woods, OTA Dean List Awards.

Class officers: Dye, president; Ladner, vice president; Carter and Davis, historians; Pigott, Social media ambassador. 

Michelle Haynes is the OTA program director and Kristian Mikell, the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
