How to apply to the Utility Lineman Program
**Students must be 18 years old by the first day of class**
Complete PRCC Application
After completing the PRCC application, you will receive RiverGuide credentials needed to complete the Utility Lineman program application.

*Completion of the application does not guarantee admission into the program. The Utility Lineman program has a limited student capacity and requires additional documentation.
NOTE: Students must be 18 years old by the first day of class.
All required documentation must be submitted electronically through the Utility Lineman application to be considered for an interview.

Required Documentation for Utility Lineman Application
- Obtain a 10-tier or higher drug test. Upload a copy with your program application.
- Submit a color copy of your current driver’s license with your application. All applicants must have a clean driving record for the past three years.
- Obtain the MVR information sheet from the DMV and upload a completed copy with your application. If selected for the program, you will need to provide the following:
- Obtain an MDOT physical (may be called CDL/DOT physical) from a qualified physician. Take a copy of the physical to MDOT when testing for your CDL permit to obtain the MDOT card.
- Obtain a Mississippi Class A Commercial Driver’s Permit (or License). Out-of-state residents must be 18 years old and obtain a valid state Class A Commercial Driver’s Permit (or License) -due at the orientation meeting.
