HANCOCK - Wildcat DRONE CAMP

Participants will utilize skills in mathematics, coding, and data collection while learning to pilot a drone. No previous experience is needed for this hands-on, interactive camp.

WILDCAT CHESS CAMP

Middle School

Participants will learn strategies, tactics, and rules of play.  Categories are available for experienced and inexperienced players.

For students who have completed: Grades 6-8

High School

First Aid Training will teach campers the information and skills necessary to help in emergency medical situations. Participants will learn how to confidently react and provide assistance.

WILDCAT FILM CAMP

Participants will step behind the scenes to learn video camera components and operational procedures while creating a film short.

ZOO 2 U

The Hattiesburg Zoo will present Space Invader where they will offer opportunities for live animal encounters while teaching about invasive species.

IMAGINATION PLAYGROUND

Students will design, build, stack, and experiment with human-sized foam blocks.

FITNESS REVOLUTION

Students will actively participate in fitness activities while learning about hydration, stretching, and nutrition.

Go Wild will teach campers about animals native to Mississippi and conservation efforts to protect them. Animal classifications and habitats will be discussed. There will be opportunities for live animal encounters.

Participants will design, build, and race individual derby cars.

Dot & Dash 2 expands coding capabilities and encourages problem-solving. Prior completion of Dot & Dash 1 or Robotics is required.

Dot and Dash is a prerequisite to Dot & Dash 2.

For Boys and Girls who have completed: Grades 2-4

Time: 8:00 am – 10:00 am

Robotics allows participants to take the plunge with beginning computer programming. Campers will test their skills while completing various missions.

Dot & Dash is an introduction to robotics and beginning coding. Creativity will be sparked as campers use their imaginations to develop problem-solving skills.

This beginner-level camp will introduce participants to three-dimensional design while offering opportunities to experiment with additive technology.

Percussion Camp will bring rhythm to life. No previous music experience is needed, and instruments will be provided for camp use.

This camp will be held at the Forrest County Campus, 5448 Highway 49 South, Hattiesburg, MS  39401.

FCC Day Camp will provide campers with opportunities to learn about nutrition, STEM activities, arts & crafts, and more. The engaging camp will offer skill-building activities and active learning.

For Boys and Girls who have completed: Grades 2-5

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
