Pearl River Community College is pleased to announce the launch of Career Coach, a free online tool that allows students and community members to explore potential careers.
Through a simple keyword search, students and any visitor to the College’s website can learn about the employment prospects of careers they want to research. The real-time information is customized to the College’s geographic region and includes detailed wage estimates and up-to-date job postings associated with any career. Users are directed to the College’s programs when searching for specific jobs.
Mid-term exams are coming up soon for students. They will be receiving mid-terms grades in October. These grades are not posted on a transcript, they just give the student an idea of what grade they have in their class.
It is probably hard for you to believe, but your student may begin registering for their SECOND semester at Pearl River on Tuesday, November 1.
If a student is in a M-W-F class they are allowed 6 cuts/absences. On the 7th absence, they are cut/dropped from the class. If a student is in a T-Th class, they are allowed 4 cuts/absences. On the 5th absence, they are cut/dropped from the class. Students enrolled in one day only classes or night classes are allowed 2 absences and are dropped from the class at the 3rd absence.
