Wildcat Den hosting alumnus book signing

POPLARVILLE – Pearl River Community College alumnus Kendale Lumpkins will return to campus Tuesday, Aug. 23, to sign his book, Wrecked But Not Totaled.
Lumpkins will be at the Wildcat Den bookstore in Crosby Hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The book sells for $17.99.
“In this book I discuss how my past failures help prepare me for future successes and although I may have made a mess of my life, God never gave up on me,” Lumpkins said. “God didn’t change His mind about my future just because I made mistakes in the past. Overall, this book encourages the reader to pick up where they are now and work towards the dreams and goals that they have in the face of so many mistakes.”
As the Barbershop Preacher, Lumpkins took the Internet by storm on Jan. 29 with a Youtube video of himself ministering to an NFL football player in a Mississippi barbershop.
Raised in Columbia with three brothers and a sister, Lumpkins fell into a life of gambling and being in unsafe places. He turned his life around and is now an author, minister and motivational speaker as well as a Shell Oil Co. safety advisor.
Lumpkins, his wife and their two children live in Hattiesburg.. He also works as a Shell Oil Company Safety Advisor.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
