PRCC students pledge to complete college

POPLARVILLE - Several hundred Pearl River Community College students have signed a pledge that could change their lives.The students pledged to complete their community college degrees or certificate programs. Statistics show that community college graduates can earn up to $200,000 more during their lifetimes than non-graduates earn.The Iota Mu chapter of Phi Theta Kappa honor society at PRCC is participating in the Community College Completion Corps, the student_led initiative to raise awareness of the importance of college completion, and sponsored the pledge signing event on Monday, Oct. 17.Tamekia Wilson, a Hinds Community College student and PTK international president, spoke to the students about the importance of completing their community college educations.
