PRCC student wins Coca-Cola scholarship

POPLARVILLE – A Pearl River Community College student has a received a prestigious scholarship through Phi Theta Kappa.Gineca Garriga of Catahoula received the Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise scholarship for the spring 2012 semester.I was shocked and excited, she said about the $1,000 award.Garriga is a sophomore who plans to major in chemical engineering at Mississippi State University after graduating from PRCC.She is secretary-treasurer of the Iota Mu PTK chapter on the Poplarville campus.Coca-Cola awards up to 180 Leaders of Promise scholarships annually to community college students.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
