PRCC offers ''People First'' training program

HATTIESBURG – Pearl River Community College will offer the People First Professional Development Certificate training program beginning next month.The six sessions will be led by nationally-known speaker Jenny Nolen of Cullman, Ala.The series will be offered over a six-month period with classes from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the second Tuesday, beginning in September, at PRCC Woodall Advanced Technology Center.Participants can take individual courses for $99 each or participate in the entire program for $495. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available upon request.The six sessions are:nDiscovering the Power of Connections on Sept. 13.nDealing with Difficult People on Oct. 11.nI Understand Where Youre Coming From: Embracing Workplace Diversity on Nov. 8.nI Can”t Say No! Assertiveness: What it is and how I can have it on Dec. 13.nWould you like some cheese with that Whine? Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
