Nursing students complete program

  POPLARVILLE – Forty-four Pearl River Community College associate degree nursing students received diplomas and pins in a ceremony held Monday, Dec. 12, at the Brownstone Center in Poplarville.
  Dr. William Lewis, PRCC president, presented the diplomas after reminding the graduates to be life-long learners and good representatives of PRCC.
  The graduates are now eligible to take licensing exams to become registered nurses.
  Robin Correll of Poplarville and Hannah Falls of Picayune were honored for being inducted into Who’s Who Among American Community Colleges. Moriah Ladner of Poplarville received the Leadership Award; Kristi Guarino of Perkinston, Academic Award; and Shana Turnage of Angie, La., Clinical Award.
  One-year members of the Mississippi Organization of ADN Students (MOSA) received blue and white cords. They are Falls, Marisol Barajas of Picayune, Taylor Boone of Purvis, Rebekah Broom of Bassfield, Calynn Davis of Poplarville, Heather Delaney of Purvis, Shan’Dreka Hale of Hattiesburg, Amelia Johnson of Bay St. Louis and Victoria Pichon of Picayune.
  Two-year MOSA members received cords and medallions. They are Correll, Ladner, Katie Hancock of Hattiesburg, twin sisters Casey Johnson and Courtney Johnson of Picayune, Lauren Julian of Carriere and Drew Smith of Columbia.
  Dr. Arlene Jones is director of nursing education and Dr. Karen Taylor is ADN program chair.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
