Nursing assistant class starts Aug. 14

  POPLARVILLE – Pearl River Community College will offer a certified nursing assistant course at the Nursing Building on the Poplarville campus during the fall semester.
  The class will meet from 5 to 9 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, beginning Aug. 14 and ending Nov. 8.
  Only 12 students will be accepted. Students must be 18 before Aug. 14 and provide their own maroon uniforms.
  Cost for the course is $275 and includes a workbook and fee for the state licensing examination.
  Applications for the course can be obtained by calling Cheryl Frierson at 601 403-1113.
  Students must submit the application to frierson at cfrierson@prcc.edu.
  Within three weeks of acceptance to the class, students must turn in a clean five-panel drug screen, background check, two-step TB skin test results and payment by cash or money order. Students must go to the PRCC business office to pay the tuition and get a receipt.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
