LSU-E sweeps Pearl River

EUNICE, La. Pearl River Lady Wildcats were swept by LSU-Eunice Lady Bengals here Tuesday with a pair of 9-1, 6-1 losses.PRCC dropped to 4-7 overall, while LSU-E improved to 16-2.In the first game, PRCC scored its only run off a solo homer by Christina Hart in the top of the second inning; while the host Lady Bengals scored four in the bottom of the first, four in the third and one in the fifth. The game ended after five via the eight-run rule.Starter Tina Schulz (4-0) got the win, giving up a hit, striking out five, and hitting two batters; while Alexi Reynolds relieved in the fifth and gave up a hit.Starter Brittany LeBlanc (2-2) got the loss, giving up eight hits, walking three, and hitting a batter.Besides Hart, ETrareo Warren doubled for The River; while LSU-E finished with eight hits, including three singles by Schulz, a double by Pamela Wainwright, and singles by Tiffany Havard, Kelsey Hollier, and Taylor Simon.PRCC committed three errors in the game to LSU-E one.In the nightcap game, Pearl River went up 1-0 off a home run by Heather Hester in the top of the first, but the Lady Bengals tied it up in the bottom of the frame before added two in the third and three in the sixth for the 6-1 win.Kaylee Guidry (2-1) got the win in going the distance, giving up two hits and striking out seven; while River starter Neely McCrary (1-1) got the loss in her two innings on the mound. She gave up five hits, struck out one, walked one, and hit a batter before Hester relieved in the third. She gave up five hits, struck out one, and walked three.Besides Hester homer, Morghan Cuevas singled for Pearl River.LSU-E finished with eight hits, including a double and a single by Logane Fuslier, while Hollier had two base hits, Schulz doubled, and Ashley Taylor, Brooke Thomas, and Jaci Trahan all singled.PRCC committed two errors in the game to LSU-E none.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.
