Dental hygiene graduates honored

Pearl River Community College’s dental hygiene program recently pinned 15 graduates in a ceremony at the Woodall Advanced Technology Center. They are, first row from left, Katie Slade of Purvis and Angela Nause of Hattiesburg; second row, Shelby Bolling Ates of Wiggins and Kayla Graves of Seminary; third row, Megan Lee of Hattiesburg and Rhegan Seymour of Vancleave; fourth row, Cindy Le of Ocean Springs, Desirae Green of Waveland and Anna Gaddy of Gulfport; fifth row, Taylor Green of Bay St. Louis, Miranda Fazende of Poplarville and Andrea Donovan of Gulfport; sixth row, Hannah Keith of Sumrall, Adam Boargoub of Hattiesburg and Lindsey Wheat of Bogalusa, La. Donovan was voted most outstanding dental hygiene student. The Colgate Star Student Award went to Le. The Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award went to Desirae Green. The PRCC Patient Education Award went to Nause. The MDHA Achievement Award went to Slade. The Stan Hill, D.M.D. “Make It Happen” Award went to Ates. Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Honor Society Awards went to Donovan, Graves and Seymour. Department Chairman is Dr. Shana Allen. Instructors are Donna Lunn and Charity McCoy.

Each community college president is asked to bring two (2) wrapped door prizes, minimum value of $50 each. We will have a station set up at the conference for you to drop off the door prizes.

Each community college is asked to provide name tags for their Board members, administration, and staff attending the conference.
