Apply for nursing assistant course

  POPLARVILLE – Applications will be accepted through July 23 for a certified nursing assistant course to be taught at Pearl River Community College.
  The course will meet from 5 to 9 p.m. on Monday and Thursday, beginning Aug. 10 and ending Oct. 29, at the Nursing Building on the Poplarville campus. Cost is $500 and includes the workbook and the fee for the NACES state examination.
  Applicants must be 18 before the class starts and provide their own maroon uniforms. Once accepted for the course, students must provide a clean drug-screen, background check, one-step TB skin test and a receipt from the business office for payment. Deadline for meeting these requirements is Aug. 3.
