Pearl River Community College is now accepting applications for the position of G Families First Coordinator (FCC). This is a full time, 18-month grant funded position working with adults in need of a high school equivalency diploma and/or non-credit workforce skills training. A Bachelor’s degree in area related to Education, Family Dynamics, Child Development, or Workforce Training OR a combination of a bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field and one to two years of experience in one or more of those areas is preferred. Strong presentation skills: must be comfortable facilitating training in individual or group settings, meeting with participants for case management, and promoting educational opportunities within PRCC to community groups, government agencies, and other organizations. Applicants must have an attention to detail for accurately reporting grant activities. Previous work experience involving grant administration, student recruitment and/or advisement, and employability training is preferred. Applicants must have technical competency: must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), email and basic database applications. The position of Instructor of Music/Assistant Band Director is now available for application.  Qualified applicants should have a Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in music.  In addition, interested applicants must have a skillset in the area of percussion.  Individuals must have a thorough understanding of the use of technology as a supplemental instructional tool, express an aspiration toward life-long learning, and have an awareness of working as a member of a departmental team.  Duties will include but are not limited to: assistant with various college bands, instructor of lecture classes, facilitator of individual and small group percussion lessons, membership on college committees, sponsorship of student organizations, advisement of students, and recruitment in relation to band.
