Wildcat soccer standout Allizzo NJCAA All-American in 2013

Mike AllizzoPOPLARVILLE --- Pearl River Community College men’s soccer standout Mike Allizzo has been named to the NJCAA All-Americian second team squad for the 2013 season, while also earning All-Region 23 honors for the second straight year.

Allizzo, a sophomore forward who prepped at Ocean Spring High, is joined on the All-Region squad by sophomore teammates Dylan Garrett, a midfielder out of Vancleave High, and
Dyllon Beasley, a forward out of Presbyterian High.

Allizzo and Garrett were team captains of the Wildcat squad. In addition, Garrett was named the Most Valuable Player in the recent MACJC All-Star Game played in Ridgeland. Allizzo was unable to participate in the first-annual All-Star game due to an injury.

Four Wildcat standouts were named to the All-MACJC squad, including sophomores Austin Douglas, a midfielder-forward out of Gulfport High, and Jackson Harlan, a midfielder out of
George County High, and freshmen Justin Broussard, a midfielder out of Ocean Springs High, and Trey Wesson, a forward out of Gulfport High.

The PRCC standouts were instrumental in the Wildcats winning back-to-back MACJC and Region 23 championships in 2012 and 2013. This past season’s squad finished the year at 13-2 overall.
