Lady Wildcats drop two of three in Sun Chief Classic at Gulf Shores
POPLARVILLE – Pearl River Community College won its first game Saturday at the Sun Chief Classic at Gulf Shores, Ala., but dropped its final two games to finish 3-2 for the two-day tournament.
The Lady Wildcats defeated Southern-Union (Ala.) 12-3 in their first game, but fell to Wallace-Hanceville (Ala.) 6-2 and Faulkner State (Ala.) 10-1.
Against Southern-Union, PRCC smacked 13 hits, led by Mary Grace Key and Rachel Brockhaus. Key drove in six runs on a pair of singles, and Brockhaus had three RBIs on a home run and a single.
